Achievements: The squad boasts a 1999 Pair National Championship and a 1999 National Championship. FAU finished second at the NCA 2001 and 2003 competitions.

FAU Cheerleading Try-outs
April 11-13, 2008
FAU CHEERLEADING TRY-OUTS
The tryouts will be held April 11-13. The main purpose of the tryout process is to select the best overall individuals for Florida Atlantic University cheerleading squad. During the selection process, we are looking for individuals that demonstrate proper technical skills, ability to communicate, excellent athletic abilities, noteworthy cheerleading experience and poise, in accordance with the criteria via score scale. If you can not make the dates of this try-out due to distance or expenses please contact me at 561-767-7559.
- April 11th Session I starting at 7:30 PM at the FAU track
- April 12 Session II starting at 9:30 AM at CFX Cheer Gym
- Directions will be given at meeting on April 11th
- April 13th Session III starting at 9:30 AM at CFX Gym
- April 13th New team meeting to followed shortly after Try-outs
One must be included in one of the following categories:
One must be included in one of the following categories:
(1) Attended Florida Atlantic University, a community college or another college or university for at least one semester and have earned twelve hours of credit and have attained a college GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or (2) been a member of a all-star or high school cheerleading squad, or have had adequate stunting experience and have attained a high school GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or a 22 or above on your ACT (or an equivalent score on the SAT) or (3) be accepted to Florida Atlantic University
General Information:
You will need to bring proof of medical insurance including the policy number and Try out application.
The proper attire for the final day is as follows: for the males tennis shorts or warm-up pants and a polo-style collared shirt and for the females Sports bra and cheer shorts For all other sessions T-shirts and shorts will be appropriate. There is a judging category on appearance; thus, you should consider clothing that is appropriate and appealing. Absolutely no jewelry.

Running Tumbling:
Round off Backhand spring series

Will be taught at Try-outs
Cheer
You must make up your own cheer for try-outs with jump and standing tumbling sequence.
