Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
Bylaws Florida Atlantic University’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) participated in the National “Student Athlete Day, April 13, 2007. SAAC organized and orchestrated a morning at J.C. Mitchell Elementary School, located in Boca Raton, FL. The purpose of the morning’s events was to re-emphasis what it means to be a student athlete. SAAC celebrated the day with 5th graders by working sport drills and playing games which featured their respective sport. The elementary school students enjoyed baseball, basketball, soccer, football and kickball. Both the student athletes and the elementary students enjoyed pizza and drinks following the drills. SAAC members and FAU athletes distributed prizes like FAU t-shirts, free passes to games and stickers were handed out to everyone. SAAC committee members who participated were: Megan Coyne, Adam Epstein, Brittany Comer, Colleen Lehane, Chris Eberhart, Dewain Akerbloom, Jarid Smith, Zach Wichner, Jessica Badders, Adel Lizama, Chris Salberg, Andrew Tomlin, Nick Paris, Brittany Fabry, Lauren Shue and Jenny Harris.
