Nick Toups joined the Florida Atlantic Sports Medicine staff as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in August 2008 working with the Football team.

Toups graduated from Nicholls State University in 2008 with a BS in Health Sciences and a concentration in Athletic Training Science. While at Nicholls State, he worked with various athletics teams including football. He also worked with St. James and Terrebonne High Schools while an undergraduate.

Toups worked as a summer intern with the Arizona Cardinals in Tempe, AZ and worked Mini-camp with the New Orleans Saints in Metairie, LA during the summer of 2007. He worked with the Manning Passing Academy, and the Terrebonne Parish Lineman Camp in Thibodaux, LA in the summers of 2006 and 2007.

Toups was inducted into the Iota Tau Alpha Athletic Training Honors Society in the Spring of 2007.

Toups is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association, and served as President of the Iota Tao Alpha Athletic Training Honors Society as well as the Nicholls State Student Athletic Training Society.
