Dr. Mitchell Smith is a certified sport psychology consultant, under the guidelines of the Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology. He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, earned a Masters degree in counseling from Antioch University, and holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Temple University. Dr. Smith completed his studies in sport and exercise science at the University of Arizona. During that time, Smith worked with two junior level gymnasts who earned spots on the six-member U.S. Junior National Team. He has worked with coaches, athletes, and teams at numerous schools, including the University of Arizona, the University of North Carolina, the University of Pennsylvania, Lafayette College, Spring Hill College, and the University of West Florida. Dr. Smith also served as sport psychology consultant to the Basketball Federation of Slovenia, and has been a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry.
