Jared Plummer joined the Florida Atlantic Sports Medicine staff as the assistant athletic trainer for Football in 2007. Prior to Florid Atlantic, he served as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Maryland.
While at Maryland, Plummer was the athletic trainer for Terrapin baseball and assisted with football and men's lacrosse. He was responsible for the Terps daily baseball medical operations along with pre-game meals and travel logistics.
Plummer graduated from East Carolina University in 2004 with a BS in Athletic Training. While at East Carolina, he worked with Pirate Football, Baseball, Track & Field, and Men's & Women's Swimming. Plummer earned his Masters of Arts from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2006 with a degree in Exercise Science and a concentration in Health Studies. While at Southeastern, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for Baseball. He also had responsibilities to teach in the school's CAAHP-accredited athletic training program.
A native of Edenton, N.C., Plummer is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification, and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association.
