Brian O’Hara joined Florida Atlantic University in August of 2001 in a dual capacity as computer lab coordinator and as a coordinator in intercollegiate athletics. O’Hara works under Dr Michael Allen in the Student Athlete Center for Academic Excellence with the baseball, women’s basketball, softball and men’s and women’s golf teams as an academic counselor. As a counselor he assists students with scheduling, tutoring and eligibility concerns as well as study hall monitoring.
O’Hara acts as the Student Athlete Center liaison to the Computing Services department and over sees the two computer labs as well as assisting students and staff with computer issues.
O’Hara is a Florida native who graduated from Boca Raton Community High School and earned his bachelors degree from Florida Atlantic, 1993. He received his certified internet webmaster’s certificate from Computer Prep at FAU in 2001. O’Hara and his wife Amanda live in Deerfield Beach.
