Stephanie Nicholson joined the Florida Atlantic Sports Medicine staff as a graduate assistant in August 2007. Prior to joining the FAU staff, she served as an intern athletic trainer at Villanova University working with the men's soccer and softball teams.
Nicholson earned her undergraduate degree in athletic training from Oklahoma State University in 2006. While completing her Bachelor's degree, she was also a 3 year starter on the OSU softball team. She led her team to 3 Big XII tournament appearances and 2 regional berths. Prior to transferring to OSU for her sophomore campaign, Nicholson lettered one year at the University of Washington where she experienced her first regional appearance.
A native of Tucson, AZ, Nicholson is currently studying towards a Master's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning at FAU. She holds certifications by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification, the International Society of Sports Nutrition, Active Release Technique, and the American Red Cross. She is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
