Mike Mancini joined the Florida Atlantic Athletic Media Relations department in August 2005 as an intern.

He will serve as the primary contact for women's basketball. He will also handle the play-by-play for women's basketball games on www.fausports.com, assist the office with the Florida Atlantic football team and help maintain the athletics website.

As an undergraduate at the University of Akron, Mancini worked at the school's award-winning student radio station, WZIP 88.1 FM, as a sports broadcaster. He covered the Cleveland Browns and various high school sports at the station and served as both a play-by-play and color commentator for high school football and basketball. Mancini also hosted a weekly sports talk program on WZIP.

While at Akron, he interned at FSN Ohio in the production department. He assisted with all television broadcasts of both the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers.

In the summer of 2004, Mancini served as the media relations director for the Youngstown Express Collegiate baseball team. He also enjoys umpiring high school and collegiate baseball during the summer.
