Shavonne King joined the Florida Atlantic Sports Medicine staff as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in August 2008 working with the Volleyball and Swimming & Diving teams.

King graduated Cum Laude from Temple University in 2008 with a BS in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Athletic Training. While at Temple, King worked with the Football, Men's Basketball, Cross Country, and Softball teams from 2004 through 2007. She also served as the President of the Organization of Athletic Training Students.

King is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Association, the Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association, as well as the American Red Cross.
