Gregory J. Gilot, M.D. joined Florida Atlantic University in 2006 as a team orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in shoulder repair and replacement, including disorders of the rotator cuff, shoulder instability, degenerative and inflammatory arthritis of the shoulder, and revision shoulder surgery. In addition, Dr. Gilot is highly skilled in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, knee arthroscopy, and the treatment of traumatic injuries to the knee.
Dr. Gilot double majored in biology and psychology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh before earning his medical degree at Pennsylvania State University. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, followed by an adult shoulder fellowship at University of Texas, San Antonio. Dr. Gilot is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Florida Orthopaedic Society and the American Medical Association.
