Danielle Daniel came to Florida Atlantic in October of 2003 assuming a position well after the fall seasons had gotten under way. The Evansville, IN native showed outstanding organizational skills preparing and managing the 2003 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship as if she had been planning for months.
Prior to FAU, Daniel worked as a graduate assistant softball coach at nearby Lynn University where she obtained a master’s degree in Sport and Athletic Administration. While at Lynn, she was part of a coaching staff that led the Knights to their first NCAA Regional Tournament.
FAU, not softball, is what brought Daniels to Florida. After graduating from the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor of science in teaching in 1998, Daniel joined the FAU women’s basketball staff as an administrative assistant, a position she served in 1999-2000.
Athletically, Daniels was a four-year letter winner at USI and was a member of both the conference and regional championship team.
