Florida Atlantic University's fourth annual golf tournament will take place on Thursday, May 8 at 1 p.m. at the Trump International Golf Course, 3505 Summit Blvd., West Palm Beach.

Following a sold-out event at Trump International in 2007, FAU's golf tournament will return to the visually spectacular course in an effort to raise scholarship dollars for the more than 450 student athletes that don the FAU uniform. This annual event has given an average of five athletes per year the opportunity to attend college. The 11 a.m. registration will afford participants the opportunity to meet selected athletes and have a photo taken with legendary FAU Football Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger. Foursomes will gather for lunch and then head out for a 1 p.m. shotgun start on a course newly-expanded to 27 holes of premium golfing. It is currently ranked among the top 100 courses in the country by both GOLF Magazine and Golf Digest. The prestigious Florida Golf Magazine rates it "the best golf course in Florida."

Following a full afternoon of golf, participants will be treated to heavy hors d'oeuvres, awards and an auction that will feature a wide variety of items including a traveling experience with the FAU teams and a private vacation in Ireland.
